History and description

On a local hill summit, on Inis Mór overlooking Fearann an Choirce to NW. Dún Beag, as it is known locally, is a very poorly preserved oval cashel (N-S 70m, E-W 36.5m) defined by a grassed-over drystone wall, best preserved at NE. A gap at NE could be original: outside it is a small quadilateral annexe enclosed by a ruined drystone wall with a blocked up lintelled entrance way at NE. The interior of the cashel contains three clochans (GA110-066001-, GA110-066002-, GA110-066003-).
