How we decide what gets a page
A monument gets its own page only when it has a confirmed name (from the National Monuments Service, Wikidata or Fáilte Ireland), a reliable location and a description of at least 300 characters. Everything else is on the maps only. When two records describe the same monument, we keep one page and list the other record.
Visitor information
We say a site can be visited only when the National Monuments Service lists it as a monument to visit, or Fáilte Ireland promotes it as an attraction. We never assume access from a map point.
Folklore
Folklore quotes are sentences from the Archaeological Survey records, selected because they mention a tradition, cure, pattern day, offering or legend. They record what people said, not facts. Visitors' stories are shown separately as community-reported folklore after review.
Visitor badges
Badges are counts of visitors' opinions. They are never shown as stars or scores, and rankings need at least 3 different visitors.
